Testimonials
"Not only is the band a place to develop your musical talents but also a place to form life long friendships. Commitment to band teaches skills well beyond music - work ethic, team building, showmanship, confidence. Band is an experience that takes the school experience to a whole new level."
- FHSD Administrator
“When I think of band, I think of community...every band member is needed and cared for in this close-knit family.”
- FHSD Student
“Band allowed my child to be able to continue to experiment and participate in numerous opportunities, as the Band organization was very cooperative in giving my child the flexibility he needed to be able to participate in multiple activities, including soccer, skiing and golf. Band also helped my child grow in his confidence so that he was not been afraid to step into leadership roles,
and actually worked harder to earn those roles. Lastly, it taught him teamwork and helped him to realize that it takes a community”
