We are so proud of all of the students! They have been putting an incredible amount of work in over the past month and it showed in a big way on Saturday night. You will continue to see new things added over the next couple weeks, as we work to complete the end of the show.

*No competition this weekend. Our next event is at Hamilton on September 25. The finalized itinerary for that event will be linked to the calendar by the middle of this week.
Our season has 8 weeks remaining. We look forward to the remaining performances and seeing the full group's growth along the way.
Band Expo
We host a competition in our district on October 23rd. We are looking for a few additional parents to lead certain areas of the event. If you would be interested in helping to lead any of the areas below, please reach out to joewesche@foresthills.edu
Bus Driver & Band Staff Hospitality Room -Drinks & Food setup in the band room during the event
School Bus Parking -Creating and coordinate the parking plan for all of the band busses that will attend our event
Band Trailer Parking -Creating and coordinate the parking plan for all of the band trailers that will attend our event
Concession Stand -Manage the ordering and selling of concessions during our event. We order everything through the athletics, so the main item is coordinating the volunteers and sales on the day of the event.
We will be looking for many volunteers to help with these areas in coming weeks, but are looking to fill volunteer leader roles at this point. Your help is very much appreciated to ensure that Forest Hills hosts an event that all other schools want to attend!

A brief summary of volunteer descriptions will help you choose an area that fits your availability and interests. The semi sign-up is still a bit barren. Remember this role loads and unloads the podiums and secures our electronic equipment (which is only a small portion of the semi where uniforms take up most of the space). Loading and unloading is roughly a 30 minute commitment each session. A few more chaperones are also needed— please remember the background check at the district office at 7946 Beechmont.
Yard signs will be available for pickup this week. Look for them after practice!
